“Revolution is a big word, suggesting upheavals, assaults on orthodoxy, changes that ensure the world will never be the same… Escentric Molecules is many of those things.”
Geza Schön is widely considered a rebel and a revolutionary – and not only in his native country, Germany. His radical creations ignore the conventional fragrance pyramid and the constraints of the market and the industry. His creations have not only changed the way fragrances are perceived, but also the way they are created: Schön is the unrivalled pioneer of the New German School in perfumery.
Schön trained as a perfumer in Holzminden. During his twelve years working for the trade he lived in Argentina, the United States, England, France and Singapore. In 2002 he set up his own company, and founded his label Escentric Molecules in 2005. His creations as a freelance perfumer include fragrances for biehl.parfumkunstwerke, Kinski Fragrances and The Beautiful Mind Series. Geza Schön lives and works in Berlin.
